Alice almost finished digging Waterview tunnel
The machine digging a massive tunnel at Auckland's Waterview Connection is within days of completing its two-year mission.
For the team driving the boring machine known as Alice, it'll be a bittersweet moment when she breaks through.
Grant Maclean helped build Alice and has proudly watched her progress. Last night she advanced 10 metres.
