ROTATION AND PLATE LOCKING AT THE SOUTHERN CASCADIA SUBDUCTION ZONE (2000)

We are using the Global Positioning System (GPS) to measure crustal deformation in western Oregon from which we infer strain rates in the overriding plate, the increase in the potential for earthquake slip on the Cascadia subduction fault, and how Oregon moves relative to North America.
