NUMERICAL MODELING OF LIQUEFACTION AND COMPARISON WITH CENTRIFUGE TESTS (2004)

The prediction of liquefaction and resulting displacements is a major concern for earth structures located in regions of moderate to high seismicity. In this paper a numerical procedure is used in which both generation and dissipation of pore fluid pressure are considered. The procedure is applied to predict the results of centrifuge tests that investigate liquefaction at large depths.
