FROM STRAIN MEASUREMENTS TO LOAD IN AN INSTRUMENTED PILE (2001)
Normally, the instrumentation consists of strain gages placed at selected levels to determine the load at that location for each load applied to the pile head. The gages are used to measure strain and this article provides guidelines for how to convert the strain to load.
