S&DL (Sensor and Data Logger) mini is a water level meter with reasonable price and compact size of 22 mm in diameter and 150 mm in length only. User can choose type of cable based on the site conditions and usage purposes.
Read out value includes the water pressure and atmospheric pressure. When user measures the water level precisely, Barometer to measure the atmospheric pressure is needed to obtain the water pressure that is converted to the water level. One (1) Barometer covers a few square kilo meters, then at least one (1) piece is necessary in the target area.
Monitoring data is retrieved by two (2) ways, one way is via dedicated data communication cable connecting to a computer with S&DL mini software that the probe is stayed in the water at the monitoring depth and another way is to connect the prove to the computer directly that the prove is once drawn up from the water and is re-installed after readout of the data.
This instrument is single-use type and the battery life is generally 5 years. In case that the monitoring cycle is five (5) years or shorter, cost saving of the maintenance work and/or minimized renewal can be planned.
