One year after fatal landslide, Mesa County issues warning to public

One year after a landslide in Mesa County near Grand Junction that killed three people, new concerns have led officials to initiate a Level One response.

A Level One, under the Emergency Action Plan, means something has changed that requires a heightened level of awareness, the county said on its Facebook page. It does not mean citizens near the area face an extra safety risk.

The highest alert level is Level Three.
