The P-100 earth pressure cell is designed to measure total pressure acting on plane structures. It is robust enough to tolerate moderate shocks during pile driving and has a good long term stability record. The membrane face can be modified to measure soil pressure acting on curved surfaces. Typical applications for P-100 earth pressure cell are: sheet piles, retaining walls, foundations, tunnels, cast in place concrete piles. The maximum recommended soil grain size acting on the membrane is 1.5mm for P-100 applications. For medium and low pressures, atmospheric pressuer inside the gauge may be provided for using a twin jacket vented cable version.
