LONG-TERM PERSPECTIVES ON GIANT EARTHQUAKES AND TSUNAMIS AT SUBDUCTION ZONES (2007)
This review starts with the 2004 Sumatra-Andaman earthquake and the associated Indian Ocean tsunami, then proceeds to offer long-term perspectives from earthquakes and tsunamis recorded geologically on the Pacic Rim. Histories of earthquakes and tsunamis, inferred from geological evidence, aid in anticipating future catastrophes.
