The main objective of this Project was to develop further, where necessary, and apply systems for insitu integrity testing of reinforcement tendons and grout, improved instrumentation for Quality Management of rockbolting and practical risk assessment techniques for identifying vulnerable areas of rockbolted roadway. This will lead to improvement in mine safety through a reduction in falls of ground due to failed tendons, rock deterioration with time and stress change.
