COMPRESSIONAL UPLIFT IN THE CENTRAL CALIFORNIA COAST RANGES (1993)

In this paper, a simple model for compression of a tectonic wedge is combined with estimates of plate convergence and erosion rates to examine whether compression across the Pacific-North American plate boundary could account for significant late Cenozoic surface uplift.
