CASE HISTORY, UTILIZING LOAD TEST DATA TO VALUE ENGINEER DRILLED SHAFT FOUNDATIONS (2005)
A case history is presented of a project where load test data obtained from an O-cell load test was used to value engineer the drilled shaft foundations for the project. The results of the load test allowed for the shaft diameters to be reduced and the augercast piles planned for part of the project to be replaced with drilled shafts, reducing the foundation costs.
