Generate isopachs and subsidence based on depth of mining, geological charateristics, and mine design parameters. SDPS is a niche program developed through the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) and Carlson Software is the world’s only distributor.
Based on empirical or site-specific regional parameters, the operator can calculate a variety of ground deformation indices above undermined areas according to the profile function method as well as the influence function method.
Results can be plotted using the graphing program provided, or exported to other graphing programs. In addition, pillar safety factors for room-and-pillar operations can be calculated using traditional pillar stability equations, as well as using the ALPS, ARMPS and AMSS programs developed by NIOSH.
