'Soil nailing' to be used to stabilize Route 135 slide

WESTERNPORT – The Maryland State Highway Administration will begin work Monday on a six-week “soil nailing” program to stabilize the hill above Md. 135 between Westernport and Luke, where traffic delays have worsened with Thursday's installation of a signal at the site of a landslide that completely closed the road for three days last month.
