At least 23 people have been killed and dozens more are missing in Brazil after a storm hit the country's south-eastern coast, causing torrential rain and landslides, authorities have said.
The deaths occurred in the cities of Guaruja, Santos and Sao Vicente of Sao Paulo state, with Guaruja hardest hit, Brazil's civil defence office said.
The office estimates 200 people have been displaced in Guaruja alone.
"They were trying to rescue the child who was buried under the rubble when a second landslide hit," the BBC reported.
