Major 6.1 magnitude earthquake hits off south-east Malaga in Spain

A strong 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck in the early hours of Monday morning in the Mediterranean between Morocco and Spain, 100 miles south-east of Malaga, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said.
