Motts buys energy consultant
Mott MacDonald has bought engineering and design consultancy Wideurope Engineering, which is based in Italy and the UAE.
The acquisition is designed to enhance the company’s offering, services and capability in the energy sector and provide access to new markets.
Wideurope Engineering was established in 2002 and employs more than 50 people across its offices in Dubai and Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates and Genoa, Italy. The company operates primarily in the energy sector providing technical support and professional services in civil, structural and electro-mechanical design. Its portfolio features power and desalination plants in the Gulf Cooperation Council area and south-west Asia, combined-cycle power plants in Italy and north Africa and a range of projects in South America and south-east Asia.
Mott MacDonald chairman Keith Howells said: “Wideurope Engineering has an outstanding reputation with clients and equipment manufacturers all over the world.
