SOIL SETUP, VARIABLE CONCRETE MODULUS, AND RESIDUAL LOAD FOR TAPERED INSTRUMENTED PILES IN SAND (2000)
The analysis results suggest that the set-up was due to a stiffening of the soil and not to increase of shaft resistance. The following effective stress soil parameters were established for the two test piles, Piles 2 and 3: beta-coefficient equal to 0.4 and Nt-coefficients of 60 and 75, respectively.
