Eurocode 7 is now implemented throughout Europe. National Annexes and accompanying documents have being prepared for its implementation in the various European countries. The maintenance of the EC7 is essential to prevent its credibility, integrity and to ensure that it does not contain errors. Thus, a Maintenance Group has been established to deal with these items. Moreover it is important in the future, to harmonize the EC7 operational texts among the European Countries. Eurocode 7 has been described as an “umbrella” code which can accommodate various geotechnical practices and as such is well suited for adoption also in other parts of the world.
