Your single point of reference for all your Geotechnical Inquiries

Swedge

SWedge is a quick and simple-to-use analysis tool for evaluating the geometry and stability of surface wedges in rock slopes. It evaluates the geometry and stability of surface wedges in rock slope and defines tetrahedral (or pentahedral) surface wedge models formed by the intersection of two or three discontinuity planes to understand the most complex geometry and stability of surface wedges. This tool provides an integrated graphical environment for fast, easy data entry and 3D model visualization.

Sensitivity and probabilistic analysis: Using the probabilistic analysis feature in SWedge, account for the probability of failure. By assigning statistical distributions for input parameters such as joint orientations, shear strength and water level, account for uncertainty in the values of your input parameters. You can also Perform sensitivity analysis using a range of values to evaluate their effects on factor of safety.

Combination wedge analysis: Evaluate the minimum factor of safety for your surface wedge by inputting any number of discrete joint plane orientations and all possible combinations of two joints forming a wedge.

Integrates with:
Dips: You can now easily transform your raw orientation data into Dip and Dip Direction format for import into SWedge. Identify critical discontinuities, joint sets, and kinematic properties with Dips to be further analyzed in SWedge.
