Deal signed for M1 Pacific Motorway

CPB Contractors has reached contractual close for widening of 12km of the M1 Pacific Motorway in New South Wales, Australia.

The construct-only contract with the state’s Roads & Maritime Services will generate revenue of approximately AU$145m for the Cimic Group subsidiary.

The upgrade works involve the stretch between Tuggerah and Doyalson in the Central Coast region. The 12km section will be widened to three lanes in each direction and includes 9km of carriageway reconstruction. There will also be improvements to two key interchanges and the widening of two bridges.

CPB Contractors managing director Román Garrido said: “Our highly experienced team is focused on delivering an efficient and effective construction program, and using proven traffic management and innovative construction methodologies to minimise disruption and maximise safety for road users. Through strategic procurement and partnering arrangements, we will also deliver a value-for-money project that provides opportunities for local workers and businesses.”
