PHILIPPINES have been struck by a massive magnitude 6.3 earthquake on Easter Monday. Is there a tsunami warning after the enormous tremor? A magnitude 6.3 earthquake rocked the central Philippines on Monday the US Geological Survey (USGS) said. The quake struck 37 miles northwest of the Filipino capital of Manila at a depth of 25 miles. The USGS initially said the magnitude was 6.4 but later downgraded it slightly.
