Panama earthquake: Strong quake rattles Costa Rica border - Ring of Fire on alert

A STRONG earthquake has rattled Panama and Costa Rica, putting the Ring of Fire on alert. The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said the quake registered 6.2 magnitude. The quake struck near the city of David, near Panama’s border with Costa Rica. The US Geological Society (USGS) said the quake struck at a depth of 12 miles at 8.24pm BST.
