Daily Mail   13 July 2015   Mexico   Colima

Colima Volcano, known as the Volcano of Fire, began erupting on Thursday and has become increasingly active
Explosions of incandescent material shot out as far as five miles and ash fell, prompting people to leave their homes
The Governor of Colima wrote on Twitter that the airport outside the state capital was closed because of falling ash
Officials described the volcano's activity as as 'atypical' - resembling a strong eruption in 1913 that lasted four days
