Storm Desmond: Part of street is torn away by swollen river in Scottish Borders as floods wreak havoc

Part of a riverside street is torn away by the swollen River Teviot just yards from shops and people's homes with fencing and lamp posts also ripped from their fittings.
The Borders town was among the worst hit areas as the storm swept across Scotland yesterday.
More than 100mm of rain fell in the area, according to the Met office, and around 100 properties were evacuated with many of the town's roads impassable.
A number of those evacuated have now been relocated from the rest centre at Teviotdale Leisure Centre to stay with family and friends.
