Terrifying footage captures the moment an entire truck is swallowed by a sinkhole in the middle of a Chinese city
A large cement tanker sunk right into the ground on a busy road when a sinkhole suddenly and dramatically opened up beneath it.
The truck and its trailer were broken in two as the road caved in at around 5pm on Sunday in Tiantai, Zhejiang province, east China, shocking passers-by and commuters.
The sinkhole opened up where the soil beneath the road had been worn away by excess groundwater, possibly caused by leakage from a broken pipe underground.
