Balfour Beatty signs £150m contract to start The Madison
Balfour Beatty has been confirmed as main contractor for The Madison, a 53-storey residential tower block in London’s Canary Wharf district.
The construction contract, worth £150m, sees the contractor follow on from its initial £1m pre-construction services contract, awarded by developer LBS Properties a year ago.
Rising to 187 metres and located on Marsh Wall, The Madison has been designed by Make Architects as a hexagonal glass clad tower. It houses 423 apartments, from studios to three-bedrooms, of which 104 are classed as affordable homes.
