Vinci JV lands €926m Paris metro contract
A joint venture led by Vinci Construction has won a €926m (£782m) tunnelling contract on Line 15 South of the future Grand Paris Express transport network in France.
Vinci and Spie Batignolles will build an 8.2km tunnel between Fort d’Issy-Vanves-Clamart and Villejuif Louis Aragon using two 10m-diameter earth pressure balanced tunnel boring machines operating simultaneously.
Société du Grand Paris selected the bid submitted by the joint venture to build the T3C section of the line. The contract also includes construction of five new stations (Châtillon Montrouge, Bagneux, Arcueil-Cachan, Villejuif Institut Gustave Roussy and Villejuif Louis Aragon) and eight shafts. The project will take 70 months to complete.
