Hill International has been appointed to manage construction of the €960m (£817m) Überseequartier Süd development near Hamburg, Germany.

The contract with Unibail-Rodamco involves the provision of project management and site supervision services in connection with mixed-use project. The Überseequartier Süd development will be the centrepiece of HafenCity, which will house 3.5 million residents and cover an areas of about 2.2 square kilometres.

The development will include 14 buildings providing 1,150 hotel rooms together with residential, entertainment and office facilities. It will also feature a cruise terminal, a below-grade light rail metro and a shopping centre with 200 stores. All buildings will be Gold BREEAM certified.
